- *THIS IS A REQUIRED UPDATE FOR THE CONTINUED USE OF THE WINEGARD TRAV’LER SK-7003 MOBILE SATELLITE FOR SHAWDIRECT*
- Due to ongoing satellite hardware upgrades* by ShawDirect that began in late 2022, the Winegard SK7003 Trav’ler mobile satellite system will go into search mode, find the satellite but not lock, and then continue searching. This is affecting all SK7003s even if they had the prior SK73UP upgrade kit installed.
- With the new SW-TRV1 reprogramming upgrade, any system that had not had the initial upgrade in 2017 when the SK73UP was launched will still need that before doing this current upgrade using the SW-TRV1.
- The SW-TRV1 update will reprogram the Winegard SK7003 system to lock onto the G1 107.3W satellite which will hold all ShawDirect channels for the future.

Great experience, product works as advertised but Winegard’s instructions were not that clear….
